MJB Wood Group, Inc. announces a new domestic hardwood plywood product offering for upholstered furniture applications: Georgia-Pacific Plytanium Ply Frame panels. Until recently, Ply Frame panels have only been available via one distributor. MJB is now one of a small, select group of domestic distributors offering this product, providing additional sourcing alternatives in the distribution channel.
June 5, 2009 – Irving, TX – MJB Wood Group, Inc. announces a new domestic hardwood plywood product offering for upholstered furniture applications: Georgia-Pacific Plytanium Ply Frame panels. Until recently, Ply Frame panels have only been available via one distributor. MJB is now one of a small, select group of domestic distributors offering this product, providing additional sourcing alternatives in the distribution channel.
“Since Georgia-Pacific has opened distribution channels to us, we have an opportunity to make this product available on a wider scale,” says Vice President and Chief Information Officer Amy Quaid. “And in addition to offering the new product, we provide our customers with multiple options for purchasing and obtaining Ply Frame. We can supply Ply Frame via traditional “mill-and-bill” arrangements, or through warehouse distribution. MJB also offers an innovative Vendor On Site program, whereby materials are placed on the customer’s floor, and the customer is billed only for inventory used.”
Plytanium Ply Frame is an exceptional framing material for any type of upholstered furniture, combining the reliability and time-tested reputation of plywood, with laminated veneer panel technology that’s designed to be durable, easy to work with and environmentally friendly. Ply Frame is available in soft hardwood (made from poplar and gum) and southern pine varieties. Manufactured with tighter core gap restrictions and parallel center plies for improved screw-holding capability, Ply Frame panels are now available via MJB’s dependable, integrated network of supply chain solutions.
MJB offers unlimited volumes of Ply Frame four foot by eight foot panels in thicknesses ranging from half an inch to one and one quarter inches.
